    Westcliff University provides online access to the Catalog and Student Handbook for all students. The Catalog and Student Handbook is a guide to policies, procedures, and general information about the institution to assist student understanding of all aspects of Westcliff University.

  • FERPA CONSENT TO RELEASE EDUCATIONAL RECORDS

  • The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) (20 U.S.C. § 1232g; 34 CFR Part 99) is a federal law that protects the privacy of student education records. It applies to all schools that receive funds under an applicable program of the United States Department of Education.

    In accordance with FERPA and the University Privacy Policy, students have the right to inspect and review their student records maintained by the University. Student records at Westcliff University are maintained by many different departments. To make a formal written request, please complete this form and submit it to the department maintaining the record(s) you seek to review.

  • The Higher Education Act (HEA)

  • The Higher Education Act (HEA) is a federal law that governs the administration of most federal financial aid programs. Section 483(a)(3)(E) of the HEA restricts the use of FAFSA/ISIR data in order to protect student privacy. 

     Student financial aid only be used for the application, award, and administration of aid awarded under the Title IV student aid program, state aid, or aid awarded by eligible institutions designated by the Department of Education.

    With a student’s written consent, financial aid information relating only to the components of the cost of attendance can also be released to scholarship-granting organizations, tribal organizations, or other organizations assisting the applicant in applying for and receiving federal, state, local, or tribal financial assistance.

     If you would like to provide consent to release information related to the cost of attendance to an outside organization or department in order to allow them to assist in applying for and receiving federal, state, local, or tribal financial assistance please provide the following information:

  • The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA) are federal civil rights regulations that prohibit discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life. These regulations give civil rights protections to individuals with disabilities similar to those provided to individuals on the basis of race, color, sex, national origin, age, and religion. It guarantees equal opportunity for individuals with disabilities in public accommodations, employment, transportation, state and local government services, and telecommunications. The ADA is divided into five titles (or sections) that relate to different areas of public life: Title I (Employment), Title II (State and Local Government), Title III (Public Accommodations), Title IV (Telecommunications), and Title V (Miscellaneous Provisions).

    Housing: 
    Your housing selection is strictly up to you, as are the terms of your lease. Westcliff provides no student housing but, if you ask, may suggest housing providers. The university does not subsidize housing or other living costs. It has no responsibility for anything occurring in or around your leased premises, or for issues with your landlord or between you and other tenants, whether or not they are Westcliff students or staff.

    Transferring credits to Westcliff: 
    Westcliff will consider and may allow transfers of credits from other schools after reviewing your transcript, the course curricula, and other factors. However, credit transfers are not guaranteed. 

    Transferring credits out from Westcliff: 
    If you should ever consider transferring from Westcliff it would be wise, before you decide, to determine whether the other school will accept your Westcliff credits. Westcliff cannot and does not guarantee that other institutions will accept Westcliff credits for transfer.

    Tuition rates: 
    Tuition may be adjusted occasionally (usually annually) upon notice to students. Westcliff does not guarantee tuition rates.

    Scholarships: 
    Westcliff reevaluates each student’s scholarships periodically and may increase, reduce, or eliminate them based on parameters such as academic achievement, athletic performance, and other factors.

    Academic Programs: 
    Westcliff’s catalog lists all academic programs and courses. It is updated regularly, and your academic program may be amended occasionally as new courses are introduced or existing ones are revised or discontinued.

    Food: 
    Westcliff may, at its discretion, provide liquid refreshments and perhaps food at some events. However, the university offers no meal plans, food services, cafeteria services, food subsidies, or discounts.

    Transportation: 
    Westcliff does not provide or pay for student transportation services.
    *Transportation may be provided at times for student-athlete teams traveling between campus and away games, and occasionally for other students in special circumstances. 

    Playing time: 
    Athletics coaches make all decisions about athletic strategy and playing time. Westcliff does not guarantee student-athletes playing positions or playing time during games.
